JC Entertainment Let's play 'Hip-Hoop'! Next generation's evolutionary game FreeStyle developed by JC Entertainment, a Korean online game developer, has been achieving rapid growth and sensational success as an online sports game since open beta in December 2004. It was also acknowledged by WCG 2005 as the special tournament and Game of the Month by Korea Game Infinity, which meant FS has the excellent game quality. The main theme is "Hip-Hoop," a combination of street basketball and hip-hop culture. With the addition of cartoon rendered graphics, it added more feel of hip-hop and dynamics of actual basketball. FreeStyle is now available for users to enjoy in China, Japan, Taiwan and Philippines. In China, JCE had set up a joint venture to share strategies on service know-how and marketing. The future plan is to establish a sports portal. Recently, JCE signed a North America publishing deal with VUG. For the American market, VUG will carry out marketing and operation while JCE will deliver hands-on experience on servicing the content in various markets. American users will have a chance to experience it at the E3 VUG booth. CEO Kim Yang sin pointed out, "Freestyle has a significant advantage in global marketing as it can work fluently even with low-level computers and lowspeed Internet." JC Entertainment was established in 1994 as one of the first generation of the online game industry. It introduced 'Redmoon' in 1999, which was a popular MMOG, also serviced in the United States and China. JCE continuously developed creative and industry leading game, including game Joy City, Rocket Roll and Rush Online. FreeStyle, the most recent hit, reached 80,000 concurrent users since it had opened in 2004. JCE will introduce FreeStyle at the VUG booth in E3 for the first time. It will be the first chance to determine marketability of FS for the U.S. market. In addition, JCE is looking for partners for markets yet to experience the game. At this year 's E3, JCE will have a chance to introduce itself and share ideas with game experts from all over the world.
