Sejin Electronics said on January 22 that it has received additional auto parts orders for cars to be exported to the European market. The parts for which the company has lately won orders included high-priced exterior LED lamps that will be delivered to its Turkish plant.
SEOUL, KOREA - Because of the new orders, the company will have to raise its overseas auto-related sales plan that has been fixed at around 20 billion won, 7 billion won for those exported to Japan and 13 billion won for those destined to elsewhere.
A company official said, "As Korean-made cars get more brand recognition in overseas markets, automotive parts companies like ours are also benefiting. The parts we have recently received are mostly high-priced LED lamps in addition to lost-cost switches, which we believe will help us improve profitability."

세진전자, 유럽향 자동차 부품 추가수주
세진전자(대표 이상영)는 22일 국내 완성차의 유럽향 자동차 부품을 추가로 수주했다고 밝혔다. 이번에 추가된 신규 제품은 기존 LED주간전조등을 포함해 고부가 외장용 LED램프류 등으로 터키공장을 거쳐 유럽시장에 대응한다.
이에 따라 세진전자는 연초 양산계획을 통해 기 확정된 해외물량을 더해 매출계획을 상향할 계획이다. 세진전자는 올 초 자동차사업부 전망을 하면서 국내 완성차 대응 해외향 물량만 보수적으로 130억원과 일본 완성차 수출물량으로 약 70억원을 책정하는 등 올해 자동차 사업부 해외매출만 최소 200억원 이상을 예상했었다.
회사측 관계자는 "국내 완성차의 해외시장 인지도가 높아짐에 따라 자동차 부품회사도 덩달아 추가물량이 증대되는 선순환 구조를 띄고 있다"며 "이번에 추가된 제품도 기존 스위치류에 비해 가격 비중이 높은 LED 램프류여서 증가된 공급물량만큼 매출증대 및 수익개선에 도움이 될 것"이라고 말했다.
