SEOUL, KOREA - According to SK Telecom’s announcement on the 31st, SKT launches a new entry level smartphone Galaxy Pop for young and trendy consumers and a 2G folder phone WISEII for mature consumers.
With 1.4 GHz Quad Core AP and 2GB RAM, Samsung Galaxy Pop can be compared to high-end Galaxy S3 in terms of its high capacity. It offers differentiated values for consumers with its secure single-hand grip, slim body design, wide trendy color choices, and a slew of cutting edge features recently introduced by Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II. It is also equipped with 4.65 inch HD SUPER AMOLED to represent crisp clear display.
SKT has jointly designed the flip cover for Galaxy Pop with Samsung to offer it as a basic without adding bulk.
A next big thing up its sleeve is WISEII 2G (SHC-Z160S), the first 2G phone to be launched in 21 months. WISEII 2G targeted at the middle aged and elderly features a range of simplified functions such as Hotkey, FM Radio, DMB, T Map, and T Map Golf.
Cho Jung-sup, Head of Smart Device Department, said, “SK Telecom will continue its pursuit of consumer values offering a wide variety of mobile phones, and keep on launching new mobile phones optimized to consumer needs.”
