SEOUL, KOREA - Italy's best-known brand Fiat has landed in Korea on February 5. Chrysler Korea CEO Pablo Rosso said at the launching ceremony for the Fiat brand, "Fiat is a car built for those addicted to life." "With its unique design, the world's best safety, and ergonomics, Fiat allows its users to enjoy every moment of their life," he added.
Chrysler Korea launched on the day three Fiat models including the brand icon Cinquecento, the convertible Cinquecento C, and the 7-seater 4WD crossover Freemont. Rosso said, "As Fiat Cinquecento allows 500,000 different combinations of customizing, you can create one-of-a-kind Fiat."
The Cinquecento and the Cinquecento C come equipped with a 1.4-liter 16V multi-air engine and a six-speed automatic transmission. The 1,368-cc engine has a maximum output of 102 hp and a maximum torque of 12.8 kg.m. The prices range from 26.9 million won (Cinquecento POP) to 33.0 million won (Cinquecento C) and 49.9 million won (Freemont).
Rosso said, "We set our annual sales target number for this year at 3,000. We will focus our marketing effort on female customers based on 20-million-won-level price competitiveness."
