SEOUL, KOREA – On Thursday, KT and Korea Power Exchange (KPX) said they on Wednesday signed an agreement to jointly transfer energy-related IT to developing nations at LSIS’s factory in Cheongju.

KT inked an agreement with KPX and other seven companies (including Kepco KDN, LSIS and Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI)) on the joint transfer of energy-related IT to developing nations in order to seek shared growth with developing nations through the provision of energy-related IT.

The eight signees will join forces with a focus on energy-related IT education and technology transfer; the discovery of overseas business opportunities and project execution; and the building of a private-public cooperation model for overseas-projects.

A high-ranking official from KT G&E (Global & Enterprise) said, “With the signing of the pact, KT will continuously develop energy–related IT solutions and do its best to aid developing nations.”

As of now, KT is packed with AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), EMSs (Energy Management) and ESS (Energy Storage System).
