SEOUL, KOREA – Korea Electronics Association (KEA) holds “Strategic Technology Exchange Meeting” in Shenzhen, China on March 7, as part of efforts to bolster Korea-China cooperation. The meeting is sponsored by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE).
At the meeting, brisk consultations will take place between Korean suppliers of smartphone components and China’s leading smartphone manufacturers to facilitate technical exchanges and trade.
The meeting will be attended by 14 Chinese smartphone producers including Huawei, ZTE, TCL and KONKA and 16 Korean parts purveyors such as iriver, Daeduck GDS and OD Tech. Co. Each Korean parts supplier will have consultations with, on average, five Chinese smartphone companies and a total of 84 consultations on technology exchanges and overseas market entry are scheduled to take place.
China churns out half of the world’s mobile phones, 70% of which is produced in Shenzhen. The technical exchange meeting is anticipated to help Korean parts suppliers open many overseas accounts and ramp up technological cooperation between the Korean and Chinese mobile industries.

KEA, 중국에서 한중 스마트폰 부품업체 교류회 개최
한국전자정보통신산업진흥회(회장 윤종용)는 지식경제부의 지원을 받아 `한·중 양자 협력`의 일환으로 `중국 스마트폰, 전략적 기술협력 교류회`를 7일 중국 심천에서 개최한다고 밝혔다.
교류회는 우리나라 스마트폰 부품 업체들과 중국 상위 스마트폰 제조업체와의 기술협력 교류 및 수출상담으로 열린다.
화웨이, ZTE, TCL, KONKA 등 중국 14개사가 참여하고, 우리나라는 대덕GDS, 아이리버, 오디텍 등 스마트폰 부품업체 16개사가 나올 예정이다. 참가업체는 1개사당 평균 5개의 중국 스마트폰 제조업체와 상담을 진행하고, 기술협력 교류 및 해외시장 개척을 위한 총 84건의 상담이 펼쳐질 예정이다.
중국은 세계 휴대폰의 절반을 생산하며, 이 중 70%가 심천에서 만들어진다. 업계는 이번 행사를 기회로 해외 거래선이 확대되고, 양국 모바일산업간 기술협력의 길이 열릴 것으로 기대했다.
