SEOUL, KOREA - Samsung Electronics announced on April 29 that it released its brand-new smartphone Galaxy S4 in 60 countries including Australia, China, United Arab Emirates, India, Singapore, Germany, the UK and the U.S., all simultaneously.
A company official said, "The release of Galaxy S4 started from the one end of the earth to the other end. Starting from Australia in Oceania, the release of Galaxy S4 spread into Asia, Europe and Africa, and then into South America and North America, just like the sun moves around the earth."
From now onwards, Samsung Electronics plans to supply Galaxy S4 to 342 telecom companies in 149 countries worldwide.
In Korea, Samsung Electronics kicked off the sales of Galaxy S4 from April 26, launching into full scale marketing. On April 26, Samsung Electronics held a launching event at Central Plaza in COEX in Seoul where participants are given the opportunity of experiencing Galaxy S4.
