SEOUL, KOREA - LG Electronics announced on April 29 that it will release Optimus GK, an LTE smartphone dedicated for KT, on May 2.
The external look of Optimus GK is the same with those of Optimus G, while Optimus GK's internal specs are similar to those of Optimus G Pro.
A company official said, "We decided to release Optimus GK as our desire to diversify product lineups met with KT's needs to provide differentiated models to its customers."
This is the first time for LG Electronics to release an exclusive LTE model for KT. Optimus GK has a 5-inch screen, 0.5 inch smaller than those of Optimus G Pro. With a full-HD IPS display, Optimus GK realizes low power consumption, plus superior brightness and color accuracy.
Within its 5-inch screen, Optimus GK has 2,073,600 pixels (1920 vertical pixels x 1080 horizontal pixels). The number of pixel per inch stands at 440 ppi. Its battery capacity is 3100mAh, slightly bigger than those of Optimus G Pro. Other features include Qualcom 1.7-GHz Quad-core processor (SnapDragon 600), an Android operating system (JellyBean), and a 13-megapixel camera.
