SEOUL, KOREA - LINE, a mobile messenger provided by LINE Corp., a subsidiary of NHN, passed the 150-million mark in subscriber numbers on April 30. This milestone is achieved in about two years after the mobile messenger was launched.
In Spain, LINE subscribers broke the 10-million level on April 2, first among European countries. NHN said that even in the South American region, LINE subscribers are growing at a healthy pace, indicating that LINE is growing not only in Asia but throughout the world.
LINE, launched in June 2011, is a communication service that allows users to make voice calls and messenger talks through mobile devices and personal computers. LINE passed the 100-million subscriber number worldwide in about 19 months after being launched.
