Seoul, Korea - TOBESOFT started creation of UI•UX ecosphere to strengthen the competitiveness of Korean UI and UX products and to expand scope of its global business. The company’s attempt is aimed at encouraging small-to-medium companies to create a system of cooperation, without the involvement of large companies.
TOBESOFT announced on March 27th that it established an internal organization dedicated to the creation of UI•UX ecology early this year. TOBESOFT will be engaged in a variety of activities aimed at creating and expanding Business User Experience (BUX), the vision for the company’s next-generation platform. BUX represents the UI•UX that materialize the values pursued by client companies.
TOBESOFT had already been connecting and converting products together with several other companies under the World Best Software project (WBS). Since it is impossible to build the BUX by itself, cooperation and collaboration is essential. TOBESOFT plans to find partner companies in addition to existing participants to WBS and establish partnership policy to create an ecosphere.
TOBESOFT is engaged in a project with SAP Korea to enhance the UI convenience of SAP solutions, and expects to introduce the first automation support tool in the second half this year, if early.
TOBESOFT has introduced Xplatform 13, its latest product to be the foundation of establishment of BUX, in the Grand Seminar 2013, and declared its commitment on building the ecosphere.
투비소프트, UI•UX 생태계 조성 나섰다
투비소프트(대표 김형곤)가 국내 사용자화면(UI)•사용자경험(UX) 제품 경쟁력을 높이고 글로벌 사업을 확대하기 위해 `UI•UX 생태계` 조성에 나섰다. 대기업 위주 상생모델을 벗어나 중소기업이 자생적 경쟁력을 갖추기 위한 협력 체계를 만든다는 복안이다.
투비소프트는 올해 초 내부에 UI•UX 생태계 조성팀을 꾸리고 본격적으로 생태계 조성작업에 착수했다고 27일 밝혔다. 투비소프트는 차세대 플랫폼 비전인 `비즈니스사용자경험(BUX)` 실현•확대를 위해 다양한 활동을 추진한다. BUX는 고객사가 추구하는 가치를 구현해주는 UI•UX를 뜻한다.
투비소프트는 이미 월드베스트소프트웨어(WBS) 프로젝트에서 5•6개 업체들과 협력해 제품연동•변환 작업을 추진해왔다. BUX 구현은 단일 업체만으로는 불가능하기 때문에 협력•협업이 그만큼 중요하다. WBS 관계사뿐만 아니라 생태계 내 동반자로서 협력사를 발굴하고 파트너 운영정책을 수립할 계획이다.
SAP코리아와는 전사자원관리(ERP) 등 SAP 솔루션의 UI 편의성을 높이는 프로젝트가 진행 중이다. 이르면 올해 하반기 1차로 자동화 지원도구를 선보인다. 투비소프트가 야인소프트, 와이즈넛 등과 결성한 빅데이터포럼과도 관계를 강화한다. 빅데이터 프로젝트에서도 UI와 UX를 통한 가시화가 중요하기 때문이다.
투비소프트는 UI•UX 저변 확대를 위해 서울대 융합과학기술대학원과 `UI•UX 도입 방법론`을 만들고 있다. 지난해 1차 작업을 마무리했고 검증 과정이 진행 중이다. 제품도 중요하지만 도입 절차와 활용 방법을 사용자에게 제대로 알려야 한다는 판단에서다.
개발자 커뮤니티도 만든다. 생태계가 공고해지려면 파트너사 확보에 앞서 개발자들이 많아야 하기 때문이다. 개발자가 추구하는 가치와 타깃에 맞춰 커뮤니티를 구성하고 개발자 스스로 활발한 활동을 할 수 있도록 유도할 계획이다.
투비소프트는 28일 서울 코엑스에서 열리는 `그랜드 세미나 2013`에서 BUX 구현의 근간 제품인 `엑스플랫폼 13`을 출시하면서 생태계 구축을 선언한다. 파트너사 협력 모델이 발표되며 제품 전시도 이뤄진다.
김영현 투비소프트 전무는 “국내 SW업계가 안고 있는 기술적•비즈니스적•경제적 한계를 함께 고민하고 문제를 해결해 나가야 국내 SW의 위상이 높아진다”며 “대기업 위주 상생모델은 발전에 제약이 있기 때문에 강소 기업이 더욱 적극적으로 협력해야만 질적•양적 성장을 이룰 수 있다”고 말했다.
