SEOUL, KOREA - Major cosmetics brands in and outside Korea are opening a series of mobile websites in a row. This move came as the mobile shopping through smartphones is booming among young people aged between 20s and 30s.
Another factor is the growing need for the cosmetics companies to diversify the source of information sharing with users as they frequently release new products and stage a variety of promotional events.
AmorePacific's color cosmetics brand Espoir launched a mobile-dedicated website. The company established not only a mobile website but an Android-based mobile app, aimed at making it easier for consumers to access the brand. Espoir plans to increase its sales by selling its set products that have been selling only through its computer-based website, through mobile websites.
