SEOUL, KOREA - Korean Airlines said on June 10 it would begin flying between Busan (Gimhae International Airport) and Nanjing from July 12 for four times a week (Mon., Wed., Fri., and Sun.). The flight will depart Busan at 10:50 am and arrive at Nanjing at 11:50 am (flight time 2 hours). The return flight will leave Nanjing at 12:55 pm and arrive Busan at 3:55 pm (2 hours).
For the flight route, Korean Air will deploy the 138-seater Boeing 737-800 Next Generation "Sky Interior" aircraft with the audio-video on demand system on all seats. In order to improve passenger comfort and carry-on luggage space, the aircraft has reduced the number of passenger seats.
Nanjing, located in the lower Yangtze River basin, has long been one of China's most important cities throughout history. It has many points of interest including Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum and Fuzimiao (temple of Confucius) as well as surrounding areas such as Huangshan, Mount Jiuhua, Suzhou, and Shanghai.
