SEOUL, KOREA - Toyota Motor was selected as the Best Global Green Brand for three consecutive years by the world's largest brand consulting group Interbrand. The Best Global Green Brand is assessed on two criteria: environment-friendly activities and performances and consumer recognition of such corporate efforts.
The degree of a brand's environment-friendly activities and performances are measured based on management consulting firm Deloitte's analysis data and sustainability reports. Consumer recognition survey is conducted with a professional consumer panel of 10,000 persons in ten major countries, including the United States, Japan, Canada, Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Brazil, China, and India.
A Toyota Korea official said, "Toyota has a strategy of making active contribution to the preservation of earth environment, based on three basic principles—the establishment of low-carbon society, the establishment of sustainable society, and the environment preservation and the establishment of a society that coexists with the nature."
