SEOUL, KOREA - Korea’s mobile game developers Gamevil and WeMade were selected as one of initial partners for Facebook’s mobile game pilot project. Facebook announced on July 30 that on the back of the successful expansion of its game platform, it decided to develop Facebook-dedicated mobile game platform.

The new game service is dubbed as a Mobile Games Pilot Program. Facebook plans to distribute through its mobile app a variety of brand-new mobile games developed by various developers throughout the world.

Facebook, in particular, revealed that it formed a cooperative relationship with small- and medium-sized game developers throughout the world, instead of joining hands with large big-name developers.

Among Korean game companies, Gamevil, which is famous for developing baseball-related games, and WeMade, a developer of the smash-hit mobile game Wind Runner, were selected as Facebook’s cooperative partners.
