SEOUL, KOREA- Jeju Air, Korea's low-cost airline, said on August 12 that it would expand its flights to Bangkok and Guam to twice a day from once a day. For the Incheon-Bangkok route, Jeju Air will increase 14 times a week from the current seven-times-a-week flight schedule from October 2. The outbound flight will depart Incheon at 8:05 and 8:40 pm while the return flight departs at 12:55 and 2:00 am from Bangkok.
As before, the existing Incheon-Guam route departs Incheon at 10:35 am and arrive at Guam International Airport at 3:35 pm. The return flight departs Guam at 4:35 pm and arrive in Incheon at 8:35 pm. Effective on October 31, a new evening flight will be available. The flight will depart Incheon at 8:10 pm and the return flight departs Guam at 2:40 am.
A Jeju Air official said, "We decided to add new flights to Bangkok and Guam lines as their occupancy rates have been in excess of 80 percent. Our strategy is to strengthen market power in near-abroad international destinations by adding seats in existing routes."
