In overseas markets, all regions except Europe saw a rise in sales performance. In the Americas including North America and Latin America, Samsung Electronics earned more than 30-percent sales revenue in the second quarter.
The company has a total of 271 global organizations including production sites, sales corporations, design centers, and R&D institutes. In order to localize production and management, the company has divided up the global market into 15 regions with independent management command in each region. Of the 230,000 employees all around the world, non-Koreans account for 62 percent in the workforce.
