HEERBRUGG, SWITZERLAND - ESCATEC has announced the appointment of Dr Thomas Dekorsy (PhD) as General Manager of ESCATEC Switzerland effective 1st October 2013. He replaces Gerhard Klauser who will move to a new role heading up special projects.
Thomas has a PhD in mechanical and process engineering and more than 20 years senior management experience in General Management and manufacturing around the world, mainly in the automotive and the electronic industry. He joins ESCATEC from Carl Haas GmbH where, as Managing Director, he was responsible for restructuring the company's production and organizational procedures to increase profitability. He has held various manager director positions in Germany, Hungary and China creating an extensive network of global contacts that will help ESCATEC build its sales.
Markus Walther, CEO and member of the board of directors of ESCATEC, said, "Thomas has a very hands-on approach that draws on his sales and business development experience gained when working for companies with global operations such as Flextronics. The Board was particularly impressed with his track record of introducing Lean Production procedures and improving operational and sourcing procedures in previous companies.
