SEOUL, KOREA- Korea’s mobile device market has become almost saturated, according to the “Korea Report” by Flurry Analytics, a U.S.-based mobile market analysis firm. This report includes an analysis of Korea’s smartphone and tablet market as of August 2013.
The report said, “Korea’s mobile market is reaching a saturation point, first in the world, with the opening of mobile phones estimated at 33.52 million units.”
The report added that the growth of the Korean mobile market which was faster than the world’s average growth in the second half of 2011 and in the first half of 2012, slowed sharply from the second half of 2012.
he report also said that Korea’s network connection device market is already in a state of saturation or likely to become saturated soon, the first case in the world.
