SEOUL, KOREA- The New Avante will make a head-on crash with imported diesel models, by taking advantage of its newly-released diesel premium model. Hyundai Motor announced on October 14 that it would kick-start full-scale sales of its "The New Avante Diesel Premium" that consists of a variety of high-end specs.
The New Avante Diesel Premium boasts of the highest trim that is created by adding flex steer, 10WAY driver seat and front parking assistance system into the existing top-class model Modern.
A Hyundai official said, "As the popularity of our high-end trim Modern increased with its share in our total sales passing the 50-percent mark, we decided to add the highest trim Premium. By using the price-competitive diesel model, we hope to increase domestic demand for diesel models."
The retail price of the New Avante Diesel Premium is set at 21.8 million won (for automatic transmission).
