SEOUL, KOREA- Chung Mong-Ku, chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, visited Europe where he stressed the importance of upgrading quality further to prepare for European recovery. By enhancing brand value through quality innovation, he said, Hyundai Motor aims to achieve qualitative leap in the European market.According to Hyundai Motor Group on October 23, Chung visited Hyundai Motor’s Saint Petersburg plant in Russia where he said, “All of our staff in Europe should prepare for the future by pursuing quality upgrade, brand innovation, and product diversification.”
He noted, “Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors are doing well in Europe, increasing market share there, despite the slump of the European market. However, our growth in Europe is showing signs of stagnating due to low brand recognition. What matters most now is achieve qualitative leap.”
