We can expect this to happen by 2015. The Internet shopping industry is growing fast and people in general are now more open about internet shopping for its convenience. This fragrance system can be used so that people can smell the scent of perfume on their own desk at home to when they shop for perfumes online. Director General Ryoo Pill-gye of the MIC further explained: "The scent will be digitized -- changed into ones and zeros -- and sent across the internet to your computer."
This investment is based on Korea's eagerness to stay on top of being a global high-tech leader. Instead of copycatting, Korea is trying to develop creativity and pioneer new paths in the application of Information Technology. Ryoo concluded by saying: "We are taking careful steps to help our country to be ahead of the fierce global market game."
