HONG KONG - Goodman Group ("Goodman" or "Group"), the integrated property group which owns, develops and manages industrial space, is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the 'Goodman Interlink Magic Mile' for the third consecutive year at its flagship property in Tsing Yi on Sunday, 16 March 2014.
Corporate teams, family teams and individual participants will race to complete the 15-floor cargo ramp of Goodman Interlink, a landmark warehouse and distribution development in Tsing Yi, which is a key port district in Hong Kong. The total amount raised will be donated to Benji's Centre, which provides professional speech therapy services to children and teenagers from low-income families in Hong Kong.
Prizes will be given to the fastest corporate team, fastest family team and fastest male and female individuals. In addition, participants can take part in fancy dress and have the chance to win prizes for the best dressed team and best dressed individual. There will also be charity stalls, light refreshments and children's activities.
Philip Pearce, Managing Director Greater China for Goodman, said, "We are very proud to be hosting this event for the third time in support of Benji's Centre, an organisation which we are very passionate about. We have raised a combined HK$750,000 in the previous two events, and have set a target of HK$500,000 for this year.
"In addition to the existing categories, we are opening up the event to families to give parents the opportunity to have a fun-filled day with their kids while raising money for the children that Benji's Centre supports."
Macquarie, HSBC and ING Bank are platinum sponsors whilst Knight Frank, CBRE, Standard Chartered Bank and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank are gold sponsors of the event.
Mr. Pearce added, "We are extremely grateful to our sponsors for their generosity towards this worthy cause. With their support, we are confident that we will be able to reach our fundraising target, which we believe will be of huge assistance to Benji's Centre in the valuable work they do."
