SEOUL, KOREA - 7-Eleven is expanding thescope of its sales, with its sales coverage now including even flowers. The conveniencestore chainannounced on September 11 that it would start selling 20 kinds offlowers which are claimed to have an air-purification function at five locationsin the neighborhood of Sinchon and Hongdae.
7-Eleven’s latest decisionreflects the increasing interest in respiratory diseases caused by fine dust.Thetable palm tree which is reported to have air purifying properties, as well asatopy prevention feature, will be sold at the price of 5,000 won each.
Croton, which is known tohave a property of removing cancer-causing carcinogen formaldehyde, will besold at the price of 7,000 won.Under the concept of “Total space for life’sconvenience,” 7-Eleven has strengthened its non-food lineups starting from thisyear.
The store released six pouch-typecosmetics for women in June and introduced France’s casual underwear brand Waxxlast month, first in Korea.
