Information technology, IT for short, has made great contributions to Korea's economic development in a way that has led many people to believe that the Korean economy could not have achieved such rapid growth had it not been for IT.
The growth of the IT industry is, in turn, attributable to the help of IT-based media outlets such as the Korea IT Times.
It has been five long years since the Korea IT Times was founded. The English-language monthly magazine has largely contributed to letting its readers know of news about those in the IT industry who have worked hard in the export market.
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Korea IT Times on its anniversary, with the hope that the monthly will serve as a beacon to illuminate the future of the IT industry for the next 10 or more years.
