SEOUL, KOREA - The cumulative sales ofAvante and K Series, produced each by Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors, in Chinaare expected to pass 3 million and 1 million units within this year.
Amid expectations thatKorea’s trade with China would increase further along with the signing of afree trade agreement, Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors are putting Avante andK-Series in the vanguard of their attempts to increase the presence further inChina.
According to industrysources on November 11, the cumulative sales of Avante and K-Series areexpected to pass 3 million and 1 million units, respectively, in China withinthis month.
The cumulative sales ofAvante series models in China reached 2,989,166 units as of October 2014. SinceAvante XD was introduced first in China in 2003, the sales of Avante seriesmodels, including Avante XD, HD and MD, have remained strong with the monthlysales of the three models there estimated at more than 22,000 units.
