SEOUL KOREA - Dongwon F&B announced on November 25 that it is making forays into the seasoning product market by releasing four types of pasta seasoning.
The Korean seasoning market has a market size of about 775 billion won as of 2013, in which Ottogi, CJ CheilJedang, and Daesang are selling a variety of seasoning products, including sauces, sweeteners, and dressings.
Starting from the “Let’s Make Pasta,” Dongwon F&B plans to introduce a variety of “Let’s Make” series, including “Let’s Make Salad,” and “Let’s Make Pork Cutlet.”
ADongwon F&B official said, “We aim to reach sales of 10 billion won next year in the seasoning product market through strenuous R&D and marketing effort.”
The pasta sauces that Dongwon launched lately include vegetable tomato, cheese tomato, seafood rose, and Mexican red pepper Arrabiata. According to the company, the new products are chunkier and thicker than existing ones.
