Kia Motors’ compact sedan Pride came on top in Russia’s car market last month, for the first time in its history.
This was the first time for an import brand to become a best-selling car in Russia since the country introduced local automobile brands in the 1970s.
According to Kia Motors on December 10, the sales of the Pride stood at 10,823 units last month in Russia, emerging as the best-selling model there. Russia’s local brand Lada’sGranta was sold 10,520 units last month, ranking No. 2 in sales terms.Hyundai Motor’s Solaris rose to the No. 3 spot with its November sales estimated at 10,134 units.
