Samsung Electronics said on Sunday that it had held an official Samsung SUHD TV launch event at the Imperatorskii Yacht Club in Moscow on April 23 as part of its all-out effort to target the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) market.
Aiming for the high-end portion of the Russian TV market, Samsung Electronics set great store by its curved SUHD TVs, a new premium lineup that sets a new standard in premium UHD content by featuring the company's nano-crystal technology (which delivers brighter, more true-to-life pictures and a wider range of colors).
At the Samsung SUHD TV launch event, Russian performance artist Andrey Bartenev put on a special performance designed to effectively show the attendants the excellent picture quality and the design elements of Samsung’s SUHD TVs.
According to Samsung, all the newly launched smart TVs, including its SUHD TVs, will be powered by Samsung's open-source Tizen operating system, which sports a more responsive, intuitive user interface, enables connecting mobile devices nearby to the TV with just a single click, provides an integrated entertainment experience (e.g. cloud-based games) optimized for smart TVs.
With the Samsung SUHD TV launch event, Samsung’s SUHD TVs hit the Samsung flagship stores simultaneously in major cities, including Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Vladivostok.
