We are in the middle of the event anticipated by the people who are interested in the newest electronics and technology. Known as the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA), this event will be held from September 4th-9th in Berlin, Germany. IFA 2009 is the largest consumer electronics show in the world in which companies big or small are able to showcase their newest products and gadgets to the world. Many well-known companies such as Samsung and LG will be participating to showcase their newest inventory. Featured items include huge flat screens, tiny television mobile phones, home appliances, and new gadgets. We will be introduced to the latest edition of the upcoming digital market.
LG Electronics will showcase many home appliances including new washing machines, televisions, refrigerators, and vacuum cleaners. This will be the first showing of LG's 11 kg washing machine that can handle large amounts of laundry and can fit inside a 24 inch cabinet. In addition, LG will present a new slimmer 15 inch OLED television that is the slimmest television in the current market. This television has no backlight and does not need an additional source of light. It weighs less than 2 kilograms and is about 3 mm thick.
Samsung will be releasing the newest editions of their already popular LED televisions as well as new technology such as cameras and camcorders. Samsung will also display a series of green products which include a washing machine that needs only half the power of a conventional washing machine to heat water. Samsung's goal is to continuously sell their televisions at a high rate and earn their customer's satisfaction. In addition, they hope that one of the televisions displayed at this event will eventually become the number one best selling television of all time.
This event draws quite a crowd. Last year's event brought 215,000 visitors, 1,200 exhibitors, and took up 1.3 million square feet of exhibit space.
