Apple’s brand-new smartwatch “Apple Watch” will be released in Korea starting from June 26. Prior to Apple Watch’s debut in Korea, a string of popular apps such as KakaoTalk and Kakao Taxi appeared on the app store for Apple Watch.
Apple announced on June 4 that its Apple Watch will be available in Korea, Italy, Mexico, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, and Taiwan. The consumers of these countries can purchase the Apple Watch through Apple’s online store, retail stores, and selected authorized Apple resellers. Korea, however, has no Apple Retail Store.
Apple also plans to sell selected versions of the Apple Watch through some luxury fashion shops, including “Boontheshop Cheongdam” in Seoul, “10 Corso Como” in Milan, Italy, and “Malmaison by The Hour Glass” in Singapore.
Prior to this follow-up launch, Apple previously released the Apple Watch first in the U.S., Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, and Britain on April 24.
