The show will be organized by the Gyeonggi provincial government under the joint sponsorship of the Gyeonggi Small & Medium Business Center (GSBC) and the Small & Medium Business Centers Association of Korea (SMBCA). A total of 580 small and medium IT, electric and electronic makers will open 700 booths at the largest-ever show of this kind. This year will be the 12th G-Fair since it was first held in 1999.
The show will include trade negotiations, in which about 400 foreign buyers from 20 countries and about 2,000 Korean SMEs take part, and a job expo, whereby 100 companies are ready to recruit 10,000 new employees.
On the sidelines, there will be seminars on strategies to advance into overseas markets, presentations on outstanding technologies developed jointly by businesses and universities, and special lectures on the operation of online shopping malls.
Meanwhile, as a precaution against H1N1 flu, the Gyeonggi government and the GSBC have installed a heat detection camera at the entrance of the exhibition halls, in addition to hand and footwear sanitizers, and an ambulance standing by.
