According to a report known as the Business Survey Index (BSI), semiconductors and electronics were the leaders in the manufacturing industry in the 3rd quarter. Semiconductors were especially effective in export, domestic trade, and income, announced by the BSI.
Electronics has steadily progressed their point total throughout the year. Electronic equipment recorded 95 points in the 2nd quarter, and 104 in the 3rd quarter. The 4th quarter estimate is set to be around 108 points.
Meanwhile, experts believe that the estimated point value of electronic equipment will be around 104, slightly decreased compared to semiconductors and electronics.
Moon Seoung-ook, head of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, stated, "I expect the 4th quarter average among these 3 sections to be at 113 points, a 7 point increase from 3rd quarter's 106 points. I came up with this 113 point estimate in the BSI by analyzing the export, domestic trade, and income."
