Hyundai Motor enjoyed robust sales in BRIMs, consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, and Mexico, achieving a double-digit market share in the fast-growing car markets.
During the January-June period of this year, Hyundai Motor sold 415,006 cars in the four fast-emerging countries, up 1.8 percent from a year ago. Hyundai Motor achieved record-high sales there in the first half of this year.
Hyundai accomplished an outstanding first-half performance there, considering that the overall number of cars sold throughout the four countries in the first half of this year totaled 4,012,683 units, down 12.5 percent year on year.
Back by such strong performance, Hyundai Motor's average market share in the BRIMs countries rose to 10.3 percent in the first half of this year, up 1.5 percentage points from a year earlier.
