South Korean President Park Geun-hye will visit the White House on October 16 to complete a trip postponed in June due to an outbreak of the MERS virus.
The Cheongwadae said in a statement that President Park and President Obama will exchange views on a broad range of security, economic, and global issues.
Also, Park's meeting with Obama will cap what White House aides have called a year of emphasis on the administration's "pivot to Asia," an attempt to shift U.S. foreign policy attention and resources away from the Middle East and Europe to the Asia Pacific to meet China's rise.
During her Washington visit, Park and President Barack Obama will discuss cooperation between the Korea and America.
