To cope with the rising SUV demand in China, Hyundai Motor released a Chinese version of All New Tucson. The model is mounted with an air purification system which prevents the influx of polluted air and purifies the air inside the vehicle.
Considering the local road condition, the height of the Chinese version is also 10 mm higher than that of the Korean version.
According to Hyundai Motor on August 5, the Chinese version of the All New Tucson is designed as a strategic model targeting to meet the specific needs of Chinese consumers. The Chinese model is mounted with a Nou 2.0-liter GDI and a Gamma 1.6-liter turbo GDI engine. In particular, for the turbo model, Hyundai Motor added its proprietary Double Clutch Transmission.
Other eye-catching features include the LDWS, the SPAS, the TPMS, the BSD, the smart power tailgate, and the blue link system. In the meantime, Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors showed continuous growth in Chinese sales, with their combined market share there estimated at 26.2 percent in the Chinese SUV market last year.
