Nexus 5X, a reference smartphone developed jointly by LG Electronics and Google, was disclosed in Korea on October 13.
The Nexus phone is a trial model which is mounted with the latest version of Google operating system. Although it is called a reference phone since it is more like a sample model, a large number of people show preference toward the model as it has the latest Android features at a reasonable price.
The Nexus 5X, produced by LG Electronics, is a follow-up model of the Nexus 5 released in 2013. The Nexus 5X is the third Nexus model that LG Electronics developed together with Google. It is mounted with Google’s latest Android version (6.0) Marshmallow.
The Nexus 5X features a 5.2-inch screen and a full-HD LCD display. It uses Qualcomm’s SnapDragon 808 Hexacore 64 bit processor as an AP. It also features a front camera with a 5-megapixel and a rear camera with 12 megapixels.
Compared to that of the previous model, the battery capacity is upgraded by about 20 percent to 2,700 mAh. The weight of the Nexus 5X is 136 grams, slightly heavier than iPhone6’s 129 grams but lighter than Galaxy S6’s 138 grams. Three colors are available including carbon, quartz, and ice.
