The Singori 3, the 25th nuclear reactor in Korea, pushed ahead with diverse pilot tests including high temperature test and first criticality since the operation approval in October of last year.
The reactor is scheduled to have commissioning test and follow-up test until the commercial operation in May. If the reactor comes on stream, the nation will gain momentum as the next generation reactor to vie with the U.S.(WEC) and Frace(AREVA).
Singori 3 is capable to produce power amounting to 10,424GWh per year, 2 percent of the entire power consumption of the nation in 2014.
