South Korea's IT service provider SK C&C said the firm is pushing ahead with its smart factory business in China's Chongqing. The company also plans to expand its business into the Indian and Vietnamese markets down the road.
The company recently shifted its business into new ICT-combined business by merging electronics, auto parts and control devices into one platform, breaking away from its conventional IT-focused system.
SK C&C said on Thursday it set up a pilot smart factory project for China’s Honhai Group together with its subsidiary Maxnerva in the nation.
Maxnerva, an IT firm specializing in plant automation, is in charge of IT solution related to the project for shifting Industry 4.0 of Honhai Group.
Based on smart factory platform, SK C&C is set to carry out designing of printer production line based on simulation; IoT of production line and equipment; smart control and automation of production line; processing analysis based on big data; connecting SCM and ERP system.
