Toyota's hybrid vehicle, Prius, have earned its' name 'the game-changer' for breaking the conventional wisdom of hybrid cars and stimulated other manufacturers to follow suit on producing more eco-friendly cars. Despite its' high cost, Prius gained a world-wide recognition for its' fuel efficiency. Furthermore, more than one million purchased Prius and thus, it made a statement about the environment. The summit in Copenhagen, Denmark involved not only the world's leaders, but also many people who care about the environment and future emission cuts. There were some miscommunications between talks among the parties gathered in the Danish capital, but it heralded the beginning of an era of eco-friendly.
The third on the list is Al Gore's film, 'An Inconvenient Truth'. This film/documentary runs for 100 minute that is based on a simple power-point. However, it is breathtaking for alerting people's attention on climate change and its' tremendous effects on humanity. This film, ultimately, won the Nobel Peace Prize on 2007. Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs (CFLs) brought green into people's homes. Despite much criticism of high cost and inefficient performance, CFLs' sales have reached record heights worldwide in 2007.
