SK Holding C&C invited some 50 small and mid-sized gaming companies to its PangyoStartup Campus Multipurpose Hall in Gyeonggi-do on April 4th to hold a seminar titled, “How to Survive in the Gaming Jungle.” There, they also unveiled their Cloud Z All-in-one optimized package for launching global games.

The “Cloud Z All-in-one package” launches games based on local languages and cultures▲ builds and operates a community that connects global gamers ▲designs and operates flexible infrastructure and networks to meet global gaming demands ▲eliminates the gaming company’s worries about periodic game performance testing.

SK Holdings C&C highlighted the fact that the Cloud Z All-in-one package could save up to 40 percent of costs compared to traditional cloud services, and participantsshowed a great interest in the package, launching commemorative promotions such as “Free two-months of Global Cloud Infrastructure” and “Free 10-hour mobile testing”.

In order to provide the Cloud Z packages, SK Holdings C&C will cooperate with IGS Co., Ltd., which is comprised of more than 800 professionals and is Korea’s No.1 gaming consulting and quality management service company, and Goodus Co., Ltd., a specialized gaming infrastructure management company that provides services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The biggest feature of the Cloud Z All-in-One package is the ability to develop locally optimized games without worrying about the infrastructure required for the game development.

100 native speakers will perform a complete game UI screen configuration and quality test for global locations and will also support 16 global languages, including English, Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, Indonesian, Thai, Spanish, German, and Italian.

Small to mid-sized gaming companies have free access to 60 IBM cloud data centers worldwide. Data transfers between centers is also free, so games updated in Korean can be spread globally without any cost. It is also possible to increase the operational stability of the games by using a large single server that reflects the characteristics of gaming companies that produce a lot of data, such as role-playing games.

With Goodus’ 365-day, 24-hour infrastructure managed service, it is able to ensure the optimal infrastructure according to the current game usage, and thus solve the problem of underutilization of infrastructure.

“The Cloud Z All-in-one package will enable Korean gaming companies to develop games that will provide optimized cloud infrastructure for quality testing, globalization and gaming operation. I will provide strong support for Korean games to advance into the global market,” said Shin Hyun-seok, director of the platform division at SK Holdings C&C. “
