LG Display held the ‘2018 Innovation Goal Fellowship Contest’ at theirPaju plant in Geonggi province on April 26, attended by about 1,000 executives and employees, including Vice Chairman Han Sang-Bum and other key management and top tier representatives.

LG Display will build a consensus with all of its executives and employees each year on innovation goals and renew their will and determination to achieve these goals. This year in particular, the company plans to use it as a driving force for innovation to overcome its limitations as it faces a difficult business environment.

This year’s event, which celebrates its 19th anniversary under the slogan ‘Cope with crisis by sticking to the point! Breaking the Limits 2018!’ will begin with a special talk for celebrities, a ceremony for resolving goals, mountain climbing to the summit of PajuWurong Mountain, and a rice ball making event designed for active participation on part of the attendees.

“During the last 23 quarters, when we said that we have walked the street, we are now crossing a strong river, and if we do not catch ourselves in this situation, we will be swept away by the mighty river. It will be hard, but if we do not give up and stick together as one, we will be able to achieve our goal,” said Vice Chairman Han Sang-bum.

“We will continue to make efforts to overcome the crisis and make efforts to improve OLED competitiveness, maximize LCD profitability, and improve working methods to overcome the crisis and make new leaps,” said Vice Chairman Han.

Vice Chairman Han expressed his determination to push beyond their limits, to “break our limits” by “attaching our troubles to LCD modules and hammering them down.”
