Pamsh Envisions Buzzing the World with their Bone Conduction Headset

Marco is an international consultant whose hobbies are mountain biking and music.  To him, answering client phone calls puts food on the dinner table, and because of that, hiking up a mountain with an MP3 player is a no-no during the weekdays.   If there was a headset that was connected to both the cell phone and the MP3 player at the same time, Marco would be hiking right at this moment instead of sitting at his desk waiting for possible calls.

At Hall 19 in CeBIT, the Korean company Pamsh (www.pamsh.com) is looking for someone like Marco who needs a special headset.  Their PS-200 automatically switches itself from the MP3 player to the mobile phone within five seconds.  As long as Marco has this headset, he can go mountain hiking with a headset on, listening to music.  When the phone rings, he can simply press the talk button to receive a call, and once the conversation is finished, the music will be back on in five seconds.

Pamsh exhibits three different types of bone conduction stereo headsets that allow users to listen and communicate with a single headset, which also protects its users from any possible hearing damage.    After long days of dedication and research, Pamsh found a way to listen to sound through the bones instead of eardrums and created seven original technologies.

“The sound we are hearing now is due to sound waves traveling through the air.  Sound waves travel through the outer and middle ear before arriving at the cochlea in the inner ear,” marketing manager Ahn Jong-sik began explaining. “Sound waves can also get to the cochlea through direct vibration of the bones in the head, and this pathway of sound is called bone conduction.  The vibrations carry the sound waves to the inner ear and set up waves in the cochlea just like the waves that are set up by air-conducted sound.”  Bone conduction headphones create vibrations against the head in order to transmit sound to a.

This means that those who use hearing aids will no longer require wearing hearing aids if they use Pamsh bone conduction headsets to listen to music.  With the boom of intelligent healthcare, people no longer fear any possible illness.  The era has come where an advanced technology gives its people the advantage of prevention.  With Pamsh, the world can prevent the hearing impairments and damage of the eardrums.

The long days of dedication and passion to provide the best quality of sound is noticeable the moment a visitor puts the headset on.  “As developers, we wanted our product to be black and white technology where even kindergarteners can tell the difference from other products.  Although our headset does not look much different from other ones, the inside of the headset structure shows a distinct difference from any other product in the world," said Mr. Ahn.

"While all the other current headsets are made with 7 layers of thin wires, we use Ferrite Core material to unify the sound.  Having seven layers of anything as the headset component is like riding a train that has mild pauses on a fast railroad.  Our product reduces the high pitch sound while strengthening the bass, which makes the music much more pleasant to hear,” Department Manager Joseph Baek added.
