Samsung SDS (CEO Hong Won-pyo) will provide online logistics platform ‘Cello Square 3.0’ for global E-Commerce logistics market. Cello Square 3.0 is a logistics platform that integrates Samsung SDS’s global logistics know-how, blockchain, and Artificial Intelligence with the latest IT technology.
Global E-Commerce vendors can reduce delivery time and costs by using the optimal shipping methods and events that Cello Square 3.0 automatically selects. In particular, Samsung SDS said Cello Square 3.0 is a blockchain technology that cannot be tampered with, and it can prove the origin of international cargo and thus increase the reliability of products that are shipped.
In fact, in a pilot project that uses blockchain technology, buyers can find information such as the exporting countries, exporting companies and distribution history by placing their smartphones on NFC (Near-field Communication) tags attached to the imported luxury goods.
Furthermore, the company greatly improved convenience by providing mobile tracking service where the company’s final customers can view information on orders and delivery situations in real time.
Samsung SDS is planning to analyze sales and demand information and generation patterns based on machine learning and provide premium services that predict sales volume of shippers and suggests logistics cost savings.
Meanwhile, Samsung SDS signed a business agreement with IBK to link logistics information of Cello Square 3.0 to the export payment system. This will allow small and medium sized companies to deliver the money after confirming the escrow account deposit of the trade price, thus enabling safe transactions.
