Lululab revealed its artificial intelligence (AI) beauty store at the Dubai Mall, the world's largest shopping mall in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, it said on April 24.
The launch, in the form of a pop-up store, will continue until June 5. The Dubai Mall is a mega shopping mall of about 1 million square meters with more than 100 million visitors a year and 1,200 stores located.
Lululab showcased an artificial intelligence beauty store where artificial intelligence and retail tech are grafted at the French department store gallery Lafayette located in Dubai Mall.
The artificial intelligence beauty store consists of three stages. When customers analyze their own skin, it recommends products according to individual skin.
Afterwards, it will provide reports on skin analysis results and discount coupons through mobile. Customers can analyze their skin condition with a self-camera without having to go around looking for cosmetics that fit them.
“Through continued collaborations with beauty companies and companies representing diverse sectors, including distribution and IT, we hope to provide individualized IT services that can be easily used by as many people as possible,” said lululab CEO Choe Yong-joon.
The company received the Innovation Award at CES 2019 and was named the winner of the skincare category at Cosmoprof Asia 2018.
