With the start of the first general meeting of the "Korea Real 3D Content Production Association" on the 27th of last month, they prepare the official launch. This association, the corporate group affiliated to the Ministry of Culture, involves the Korea 3Dstereoscopic film industry and related content to professional production companies.

At this official launch, more than 40 member companies including the leading 3D firms such as KDC, Real scope, Gravity, Danal, and Fantaworks presented. And middle and venture businesses, large corporations, research institutions, academia attended as well. They  promoted the common vision for the future, "Korea 3D industrial power".

 

Kim Tae Sup, Chairman of KDC Group, was elected as the first president of the association and he said that "Korea is an undisputed display powerhouse, and 3D content should be too. This association will strive for the technology and information exchanges among members, co-development activities and technical personnel training for high quality of 3D content production." He continued, "As an industrial organization, we will deliver the news from the industry correctly. Also, since the 3D industry is the next-generation national growth engine industry, we will follow with the 3D industrial policy."

 

An official from the association said, "As this meeting became known, a variety of companies including CG-based 3D production, 3D prospective operators and equipment industry, software developers rushed to participate. So far over 100 companies have made motions for participation."

Meanwhile, the "Korea Real 3D Content Production Association' is going to have an opening ceremony in the middle of this month.
