S. Korea President Moon Jae-in and Sweden King Carl Gustaf attended the 5G demonstration and e-sports event held on June 14 (local time) at the Kista Science City, Sweden.
At the event, President Moon agreed to strengthen cooperation in promoting 5G-based convergence services so that the ICT partnership between the two countries can take a leap forward.
The two leaders watched a video clip saying Sweden has been an important facilitator for 123 years in Korea's ICT development process, which led to the world's first commercialization of 5G.
The "5G-based airship" was remotely controlled to enjoy the night view from Gwanghwamun Square to Gyeongbok Palace in Korea. both participants enjoyed various 5G-based content, including BTS' performance on the European Tour and a 360-degree multi-view professional baseball video.
After attending the 5G demonstration, Presient Moon and Swedish participants watched the e-sports friendly exchange match "Summoners War" between South Korea and Sweden at Ericsson Studios and encouraged the squad.
"South Korea and Sweden are powerhouses in the game industry and leaders in the 5G era," President Moon said. "We look forward to continuing to cooperate in e-sports and high-tech industries."
