The "Seoul World Fireworks Festival 2019 with Hanwha" was held in a booming mood for about two hours from 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5, in front of the 63 Building in Yeouido, Seoul, and around Hangang Park in Ichon district.

The fireworks festival, which marks its 17th anniversary this year since the first event in 2000, involved national flame teams from three countries -- South Korea, Sweden and China. A total of 100,000 colorful and fantastic fireworks embroidered the autumn night sky, offering unforgettable memories of the autumn night to 1 million visitors, including family members, lovers and friends.

Under the theme "The Shining Day," this year's Fireworks Festival looked at the beautiful fireworks and delivered the message, "The day when our figure was the most shining in so many lives like a star, is today when we are in love with someone."

The Chinese team, which was in charge of the opening of the fireworks festival, showcased their unique fireworks with songs such as "Hero," an inserted song by Kung Fu Panda, "Fancy" by Korean girl group Twice, "Mission Accomplished" by Missin Impossible and "Kung Fu Firing" by Shanghai Roxy Musical Studio.

The second team, Sweden, performed a spectacular fireworks with songs such as ABBA's "Lay All Your Love on Me," Sam Smith's "Fire on Fire" and Xia&David Guetta's "Titanium."

Hanwha embroidered the autumn night sky with fantastic fireworks for about 40 minutes from 8 p.m. This year, it produced a multimedia show of 63 buildings with fireworks, producing a storytelling fireworks show like a musical.

This year, the 63 Building, the Hangang Bridge and Wonhyo Bridge were in the spotlight for staging fireworks in three places. In particular, the fireworks festival highlighted the first ever device-flame production of Wonhyo Bridge, which was introduced last year.

Meanwhile, the digital live broadcast, conducted via Hanwha Group's YouTube channel "Hanwha TV," recorded 5.4 million simultaneous viewers and about 360,000 live viewers.
