Amorepacific is scheduled to win the Innovation Award in the 3D printing category at CES 2020 (Coutesy of Amorepacific)

Amorepacific is scheduled to win the Innovation Award in the 3D printing category at CES 2020 (Consumer Electronics Show 2020), the world's largest electronics products exhibition that will be held in Las Vegas in the U.S. in January next year, for its technology to manufacture 3D printing mask packs.

The manufacturing devices that are applied with Tailored Facial Mask Pack 3D Printing System can make customized mask packs through 3D printing technology.

Amorepacific has conceived the fact that current mask packs do not fully reflect different face sizes, location of features, skin color and defects by skin area.

To overcome limitations of current products, it developed a customized mask pack manufacturing device that utilizes 3D printing technology in 2017, along with Lincsolution, a developer specializing in 3D printers.

The 3D printing mask pack manufacturing technology will first take a picture of a face image with an application developed by Amorepacific and make a 2D mask design by measuring users' eye, nose, mouth position and area of forehead, ball and chin.

Based on the information obtained, the company will select hydrogel that contains functional ingredients suitable for the skin condition and print them out by a high-speed 3D printer to manufacture customized mask packs in real time. Customers visiting the store can receive mask pack products that will be completed within five minutes at the site and use them immediately.

The corresponding technology implemented through the IOPE taylored solution won in the design concept category of the "2019 Red Dot Design Awards," participated in the second China International Import Fair, and will be introduced to ordinary customers through the IOPE flagship store starting next year.

Meanwhile, Amorepacific will operate an exhibition hall at the CES 2020 venue, which runs from Jan. 7-10 next year. At the exhibition hall, it is planning to introduce the winning 3D printing mask pack technology and new products such as Makeon Flexible LED, which are expected to be released in 2020, for the first time.
