LG Electronics' dual-screen Smartphone called 'LG G8X ThinkQ', released in North American market on Nov. 1, is receiving favorable reviews from media outlets such as Forbes, The Verge and Techrader.
"LG G8X ThinkQ provides excellent multitasking capabilities," Forbes said. "It is good to be able to operate two or more apps at once and when a user plays a mobile game, no operating buttons or hands block the game screen. You can work much faster before."
"The multi-tasking performance of LG dual-phone is the best mobile product we've ever used," The Verge said.
"The hinge of a dual screen is very solid," said Techrader. "It is also convenient because it can be positioned in any direction."
"We are receiving positive reviews in North American markets due to LG dual-screen's strong multi-tasking capability," said Director Lee Yeon-mo of LG Electronics' handset business. "We will continue to strengthen our position in North America."
Meanwhile, LG Electronics carried out a software update that improves convenience of 'LG V50 ThinkQ' released in the first half of the year.
The company allows individual adjustments to the app volume when running different apps on LG V50 ThinkQ and Dual Screen. It also allows users to adjust size of app icons even when dual-screen is combined. LG V50 ThinkQ includes "Wide Mode" function that uses dual-screen and main screen at the same time on Naver and Chrome apps.
