On June 29, Hi-Tech Information, one of the IT publications in Korea invited IT personnel to celebrate its 21st birthday. While many IT people have gathered around in the Army Hall, Gimm Young-Sil, Publisher of Hi-Tech Information, welcomed the guests by saying "Thank you for attending our 21st Founding Anniversary and the Hi-Tech Awards."
Soon, the 'Hi-Tech Awards' ceremony was conducted and the conferment was performed by Lee Kark-Bum, Chairman of the Presidential Council on the Information Society. In the management section, Lee Young-sang, Chairman of Korea Software Enterprise Association and CEO of Data Streams Corp., got an award and he stated that he hopes to cooperate with IT people in the country for software in Korea. Lee Myung Jae, CEO of Myung Information Technologies Co.,Ltd. received the award for Technology.
Also, Lee Bong, CEO of Dongbu CNI was announced as the winner of IT Services. He said "Korean IT has improved its power and hopefully it will continue to grow" and Kim Dong Wook, CEO of Winsroad won for the Best Solution sector.
In addition Song Moon Sup, President & CEO of M Seven System was named best firm in Mobile section. Hi-Tech Information recognized the service of Lee Sang Eun, Center President of SW Engineering Center as well.
The following awards were given by Suk Ho-Ick, Vice chairman of the Corporate Relations Group KT. Yang Seung-ha, Managing Director of Avaya Korea was honored with an award for a Global Company, and Lee Min Jae, President & CEO of TQMS won awards in the Consulting category.
Besides, Kim Byung Chuel, Executive managing Director of the IT Business Group of Dashin Securities got awards for Intellectual Property Rights. He said "Since it is a very important area, I am so honored to receive this award." For the last, Lee Dal Ho, Professor of Kyungwon University received award at ICT Facility.
